![]() ![]() There's a very strict policy of being late or calling in, so if you get sick within the 1st 90 days expect to be written up and practically on the verge of termination. The recruiters that interview you will give you one story about the shift schedule and then the trainers & management will tell you another and when told the info given by their recruiter they say: "We told them to stop telling people that." The lack of being on the same page continues with all the trainers and line leads, but no one does anything to change. The department will claim that they don't work with Temp Agencies, but they do. While I’m ultimately happy with the nearly four years there due to some really fun employees and really great leads/mangers (lucked out) I wouldn’t recommend working at biofire unless your considering a research position, businesses admin, - more. Last, many roles especially those I’ve listed above are a bait switch, often dressed up and requiring a degree/technical skills that far exceed what the role ultimately demands, which is usually incredibly routine and mundane work. ![]() If you start as a dime you’ll never be dollar, sort of mindset. It’s actually easier to quit and re-apply then get an advancement as they have extreme difficulty filling these positions due to lousy management, grueling schedules, and a stench of classism. If your unlucky to find yourself in the latter know that you’ll likely never advance to the former and you will be treated as a second class employee. Everything including promotions, switching roles, pay increases, shifts, etc… are completely regimented and doled out according to what finance/HR have pre-ordained and are utterly non-negotiable.Īdditionally, there is a huge cultural/pay/privilege divide between all positions even remotely related to manufacturing (including highly skilled engineers, QA, QC, Chemists, Inventory Analysts) and non-manufacturing. At present it’s become a stale, un-comprising, non-negotiable, top heavy, top down style corporate drag. This company (biofire diagnostics) used to be great before their parent company Biomeriux bought them out and strong armed the old CEO into early retirement, who btw cared deeply for his employees. ![]()
